Shah Alam Reception Halls Survey : DONE! Thanks all!!~


Exhausted!

Ya..kami kepenatan.1 hari nih kami pergi survey sume mostly dewan di Shah Alam..Bygkan dr ari hari i post nak survey dewan,x sempat2 gi..Alhamdulillah today both of us free.Now : Bdn x larat + sakit kepala *agaknya brp kali kena hujan tadi* tetapi i sgt2 x sabar utk post entry & share ngan uols info2 yg I dpt from survey 2day..huhu..Lets check it out!~

1. Shah Alam Covention Centre
- The person in charge (PIC) : Their sales manager..nama x ingat coz his biz card wif ash..the guy was very nice..peramah la jugak..tapi end up dia cam nak usha2 Ash soh buat autoshow kat tmpat dorg.Erk?*kita nak buat wedding lain plak yg dia yg interested..sabar je la..huhu*
- Package (RM): RM780++ per table *plus minus i kira RM850 per table* / fully aircond / PA system / capasity about 400 guest 1 time / cake & deco2 bagai x de ok!i check kat dorgnye website kata ada tp i tanya kat that guy..dia x de provide suma tuh..camno nih?* sila check this website : http://saccconventioncentre.com/images/banquet_malay01.pdf
- Parking space (P): VIP parking for bridal car..depan2 SAConvec..guest : parking dlm RM2/3 per hour!*abes tuh,if family kita park satu hari..cuba kira bp byk nak bayo?alamat kena bebel la kami.tsk tsk*parking kat sacc shopping mall & pkns pon kne bayar..huhu..nak free parking parking je tepi2 jalan..sape nak saman kan?weekend pon..agak2 aa mbsa pon kalo nak saman..huhu
- Our 1st impression on the hall (I): Hall besar la gak..cantik..baru kan..bau cat pon x hilang lagi..hehe
- Result (R): Tarikh kami nak : 30/10/2010 sudah ada org book! So apo nak di kato? pasrah la..kitorg saje la tanya 10/10/2010 da ada org book ke?haruslah dah kan?ye.dari pg sampai malam ok!fully booked! tapi kami x regret langsung sbb: rasanya x worth it sgt2!dun u think so?coz RM85000 (1000pax) je nak spend for food? x masuk lagi deco2,banner bla bla..

2. Dewan Cattleya, Wisma PKPS
*Dear Sab, post tang nih I nak sgt share wif u after i bace bout ur story wif Kuzie Catering arituh..hehe*

- PIC : I call Daniel *contact no from Sab..thanks dear* tapi x dapat..then terus gi 4th floor..1 girl (x silap Rita kot nama dia) entertained us. *time ni i tros t'ingat Cik Sab Bloggy fren itu..huhu..Sab,serius i nervous ok time tu..takut dorg x layan kitorg kan..ye la..kitorg kan bukan artis..& bukan dr golongan2 family yg ada nama..cuak lebih nih..huhu..*-masuk office-then dat girl bg air teh tarik-tunggu-sambil2 tuh i ngan ash cakap sesama sendiri 'napa la ofis ni messy sgt?'huhu..then sorang mamat..agak smart la..dtg..n tanya : uols nak tanya psl wedding ke?sambil salam ngan kami..time ni dlm hati i :owh..agaknya nih kot daniel tuh..*konfiden ok!*
then ash pon tanya : Aah..encik nih antara yg in charge ke utk wedding kat sini?*polite gle ash tanya..haha* sekali dia jawab..ya..saya yg in-charge kat sini.saya Pak Engku.aksi spontan kami :*terkesima sebentar*..Wut??Kitrg x recognize langsung ok !!!hahaha!then i tros spontan cakap:oh..dlm mag/tv lain sgt..agaknya slalu pki songkok tinggi,baju melayu kan..pastuh nampak cam lagi muda la real live dr dlm mag/tv*comment yg jujur & x brp kena pd tempatnya-sila maafkan mulut sy.nama pon spontan kan,huhu*dia sgt peramah & talkative..byk benda dia tanya psl kitorg..klaka gak dia tuh..bual punya bual lebih 1/2 jam la..& pak engku nak ktorg deal directly ngan dia..biz card dia pon bukan kemain..gold2 gitu*skali lg:agaknya dia tgh good mood kot 2day..byk payment kot dpt nih..huhu*
- RM: RM55 per pax..(standard) - food+pa system+deco (yg biasa2 la)..or satu lagi RM60 per pax (grand)food+pa system+deco meletop for pelamin & 1 dewan (fresh flower)
+kompang+selawat+bilik touch up+dia nak bg free 1 malam kat Grand Blue Wave Hotel dpan tuh.kira cam ALL IN la..and yg x tahan tuh Pak Engku request kat kitorg..if kitorg amek ngan dia, dia nak masukkan kitorg dlm NONA..coz theme yg kami nak tuh dia nak buat utk profile dia+muka kami b'dua cam artis!sesuai sgt masuk tv.motif?!artiskah kami?!hahhaha!hidung pesek cam kami layak ke?hahaha! btw if guest >1000,after 1000 di kira RM25 je per pax.
- P :ample parking space..kat sbelah building pkps.weekend parking free..no prob at all
- I : Ye.betul kawan2!setuju!hall sgt cantik!saya kami suka! esp chandelier dia..if guest >1000, duduk luar dewan..tapi dia buatkan gak deco full..
- R : Date OK.ada lagi..bln 10 free.. nak calculate cpat2 mlm nih ... :) SUKA!!

3. Dewan SUK Selangor (Dewan Jubli Intan)
- Di pendekkan crite : starting next year 2010,NO MORE WEDDING RECEPTION @DEWAN SUK!!Tsk tsk.Kami sgt sedih..*Dear Hanie & marryme, t'pakasalah i lupakan hasrat utk kawen di situ,huhu* The reason y dorg x bg dah buat kat situ antaranya sbb gomen ada byk function & sometimes bile nak buat function esp bile urgent suddenly hall tuh (dewan jubli intan) ada org book utk wedding function plak..tuh yg dorang dah selaraskan,start next year x de wedding dah..last nov/dis nih. *Penat je kami naik sampai tingkat 18 nak gi dept tuh..cett!*

4. Dewan Banquet MBSA Shah Alam
- PIC : Erk..x ingat nama dat guy...sbb frust gile ngan banquet nih..*wo yao ku-saya mau nangis* sbb?sila baca lagi. yg penting tingkat 2, Jabatan Penilaian.
- RM : There is no package & such..just sewa dewan shj. RM2800 siang, RM3000 malam. Dia bg la PA System.kerusi+meja (500 kerusi velvet+50 meja)
- P : Limited parking space (basement)tapi wedding weekend kan..so apa ada hal parking luar sudah..hehe..kat dataran tuh parking je tepi2 tuh..huhu..keliling mbsa pon leh park.. :)
- I : Ok la.not bad.nampak la agak lama kan,tapi after deco nanti confirm x nampak kan..yes quite small to me tapi ok la.kalo duduk kat table belakang sekali pon still nampak pengantin dgn jelas sekali..x yah pakai spec ok.hehe.convenient, PA System+lighting ok+washroom bersih+fully aircond+lampu ok la..x la cantik cam kat cattleya tu kan..huhu
- R : Nih part yg paling2 kitorg frust menonggeng!!! Sampai skrg sedih yg teramat..Kitorg dah get ready nak byr deposit on the spot..sebab harga murah :deposit RM1000 (compare tuh Cattleya, nak ltak deposit RM6000+ at least,10% kan) +if x jadi pon nanti leh dpt full deposit blk(gitau at least 1 mth b4)..sekali tanya 30/10..mbsa booked oredi!for their anniversary.Wut??!!
Punye la nak sgt book,kitorg tanya date lain.Then u know what? bln 7,8,9,10,11 next year every weekend dah fully booked!!!!Bln 12 i dah x sanggup nak tanya.sbb x caya+sedih gile2 cam sampai I nak nangis kat depan abg tuh..ash dah speechless..x sangka la sampai camtuh skali kan.. kalo buat situ byk agenda kami yg boleh di plankan..maybe byk wishlist akan terlaksana..huhu..ada hati kan?ceh!
Serius korang..till now i sedih sgt..x tau la nape..*haruslah i nyanyi..aku berhenti berharap SO7 itu*

5. Kelab Shah Alam
- PIC : En.Abd Khalal (Sales Coordinator).very nice person & sopan..
- RM : If package-RM45/50/55 per pax.min 350 pax..complimentary by club RM500-Deco+pa system+cake etc) If sewa dewan shj- RM8400 (dia bg la pa system,scallop,meja bulatdlm 40-45 tables)
p/s : Hidden wing : i tanya kat en.Khalal tuh,if nak amek outside caterer, kena amek package yg sewa dewan je la..huhu..btw frm my experience makan kat situ,food dia x de la sedap sgt..i slalu gi party invitation kat situ..bukan wedding la..if dewan dia skali ngan deco sume cantik x u?pnah g x situ?
P : Ample parking space.momantai.hen hao!
- I : Hall ok la.tapi yg x bestnya red carpet tuh 'T' type tau..x best kan??cuba imagine..time2 walkin' down the aisle yg tiba2 bentuk T..potong la!*Iklan P1 jap*
- R : Tarikh byk je kosong..from Jun-Dec 2010 x de lagi org book..tapi mesti kami consider..takut kan..tetiba call lagi skali dah fully book..ha..camno?sapo nak jawab?huhu

6. Kompleks Belia Dan Kebudayaan Selangor - Dewan Raja Muda Musa
- Bila me&Ash pergi ke kaunter pertanyaan, org tuh cakap the whole management tukar org baru & till now x tau sape penaung,ajk,setiausaha bla bla yg in charge kompleks tuh..boleh tak?
tapi dewan tuh cam ok..dari luar la..coz ada budak2 uitm tgh sit exam,x dapat la tgk sgt.masa kitorg cam t'jenguk2 kat situ,ada penjaga exam tuh tanya kitorg, ada nak buat shooting ke kat sini?motif??!ape kejadahnya?x paham..x paham.

7. Taman Seni Islam
- Lupakan!nggak bisa.mau dlm dewan..x de hall di sini.anyway thanks Diah for the number.really appreciate dat. :)

8. Laman Budaya
- nggak bisa.waaaa.garden wedding boleh la di sini.malam cantik ok!lupakan juga.

9. Bougainvilla Garden (Sec 9)
- Tempat kawen Diana Rafar&Zamarul tuh..kami x brp suka..byk cons dr pro nye..skali lg garden wedding d lupakan.huhu.


10. Muzium Sultan Alam Shah

- Kenapa? x percaya ke? Dalam muzium ada dewan tau..kalo kawen kat situ,org tanya, N, u kawen kat ne? kat muzium.dtg la.comel kan..haha..tapi x sempat gi..sebab dah kesejukan kena titis2 air ujan..huhu.but my frined cakap itu sewa dewan shj.RM1000 siang shj.tp capasity max 300 pax. Insya'Allah dalam 2-3 hari nih nak gi survey.

Sekian. saya dah penat+pening kne ujan. Sok nak cari lagi dewan mane lg x gi dalam ceruk S.A nih. by hook or by crook,diz week,we have to settle down with the hall thingy.

Btw, i heart these :

1)No 2

2)No 4 ..X mo give up!Maybe i shud try to call 'em tomorrow.Still have 1 last chance : December 2010..to b exact : 5th Dec,coincidencely it's on my bday!N!dun give up,just try..who knows kan? guys wish me luck k!

3)No 5

if ada idea lagi kawan2 do let me know ya.Owh.idea dewan2 di luar Shah Alam.huhu..back up plan needed.

btol ni..wedding i on oct 2010 tu pun dah siap survey dewan. bayangkan bulan ogos hari tu pegi dewan perbadanan putrajaya, untuk october 2010 full! nasib sempat menyelit masukkan nama kitorang. kalau x, memang nangis darah.

regarding dewan cattleya..i'm so glad they layan u well...even though I had hiccups here and there with them..i can tell you the food there is great..my family siap request their food lagi for my wedding..and yes i'm still looking for a hall yg I can bring my own caterer, just for them...

oh btw dear, if ur interested dewan komuniti bukit damansara is still available end of next year..the hall is preety great..RM 1400 rent and u can bring your own caterer...

i penah attend my friend's wedding there in 2007..betul, food so-so je kan :) rm8k+ for that venue sounds pricey..can already afford bigger & nicer hall like PGRM & seri endon hehe..psl deco tu, sadly they still into pelamin kerawang2.. :(

agreed, try checkout siantan..we booked their smaller hall for bertandang. kerusi+meja wajib guna theirs but rate not inclusive kerusi+meja yet..can bring outside caterer or if u dont hv any, ctcatering their panel & they can absorb kerusi+meja cost =) hall can guna full day, no charge for prep like mbpj..overall, they're quite flexible i think hehe..

dr dulu nk tanya..u planning for seating ke buffet? and how many pax..? senang sikit nk shortlist hall hehe..

so i plan better buat buffet & guest leh kua masuk..no VIPs guest..suasana santai & guest dtg makan + hv fun + amek gambar wif us & kitorg yg brides ni pon turut sama happy.. :)

tmn seni islam x sesuai kan bulan 10.ujan!

korang suma : just wanna share wif u guys.. tadi i gi DEWAN GUTHRIE at BUKIT JELUTONG..kebetulan lalu sana sbb tadi gi tgk progress umah..my fren yg suggest gi situ..em..to me,dewan tu biasa je.quite small..rasanya capasity 200-300 max.tapi x kisah lah.yg i kisah: building tuh boleh share plak ngan balai/pondok polis + kumon + kedai runcit..wth? & if nak tanya / book dewan tuh management dia kat tempat lain..loc quite far pulak tuh from that dewan..ntah pape ntah.

dear, seri siantan is big hall (can fit 1k pax) and they can partition to 2 smaller halls siantan1 & siantan2 (each can fit max 500pax). rate seri siantan 4.8k & siantan1@2 rm2.55k

meja rm3, banquet chair rm1.50 each..

hehe..i suggest siantan earlier cos i thought u need bigger hall for 1k pax seating event..since it's buffet, i agreed with sab, dewan bkt damansara already sufficient..rate pun alot cheaper than the smaller siantan :D

bcos for siang event, pjaya management will open melati hall (bwh siantan hall) for wedding too..so our event nanti clash with someone else's wedding..only mlm they'll limit to 1 function there..(as per my caterer hehe..)

For dewan bukit damansara rental is actually RM 800...Extra RM 600 for the carpet, which i think most brides would rather hide the badminton court lines...u have to pay RM 300 deposit extra, but they will return after the wedding inshaAllah..

nothing is included except aircond, toilet and vip room..but i think the rate is very reasonable..so then we can go crazy with the decorations..sound system also our own..

the last i checked oct, nov and dec 2010 still available..

i pun plan to do my reception dekat dewan bukit damansara...at first nak buat in june tapi dah fully booked sampai end of june..july booking belum bukak lagi but i mintak jugak dia reservekan the 1st week of july for me..try la survey..the hall is quite nice..and sgt murah...opposite to masjid lagi..sangat senang :)

hey gals, those halls are looking great! i never knew in shah alam they hv such a nice halls....need help from you all. i would like to have my engagment in a hall for approx 50-60 ppl. can anyone suggest the best place to have my engagement and how much budget required inclusive food,deco and hall? not sure if they wud accept for smaller grp of ppl thou:(..-thanks:)

for muzium nyer dewan better u check website dia.. ada tulis segala nak sewa2 ni dibekukan .. menda tah.. call la.. maybe by the time u nak pakai dah open ke kan.. suspen i baca la cara u carik.. anyhow informative sgt coz im looking too...
carik under perbadanan adat melayu dan warisan negeri selangor... sek 11 pon ada je dwn MBSA.. rasanye sewa dia beza ngan community hall yang lain dlm Shah Alam since atas personal kot.. try la check
